Insomnia

2:00am...3:00am...4:00am...5:00am...my body has forgotten how to sleep.

So what do you do when you have insomnia in the wee hours of the morning?

You stumble upon fascinating websites like this one...

...with tons of letters from famous people. I love letters. Letter-writing is a dying art which ought to be revived. There's something about the handwriting, the creases in the paper, the spontaneous un-edited flow of words that cannot be matched by email or smses. I love letters.

Then you stare for hours at recipes like this one...

...and pine for your mother's kitchen, for Nestle Tollhouse and a cold glass of milk.

Now that you're a little bit homesick, you put this song on repeat...

...but wow, actually it's not depressing at all! A Christian cover of Coldplay's classic "Fix You", a song which usually makes you wanna curl up and cry, somehow becomes uplifting..."He lived and died to fix you."

After that, you go to Facebook and discover adorable pictures of your nieces, like this one...

...that make your heart melt. Great Granddad and Micah. Four generations meeting in a precious little clasp of hands. *Love*

And when 5 o clock rolls around you decide to write a blog post about your sleepless night for all those fellow-insomniacs on the other side of the world, just in case they need some inspiration.

Then at last, you pull yourself out of bed and think, it's gonna be a loooooong day...
